Was craving ramen and when a friend asked me to lunch I was quick to suggest this place. I missed the memo that they had changed their name from Uchi to Ramen 4 Real so not sure how long ago that happened. They also no longer offer take out which sucks a little bit isn't a huge deal.

Anyway, met my friend here and despite the name change and a few changes on the menu everything else seemed the same. The food was amazing as usual. I ordered the miso based ramen with an extra egg. I actually felt like the broth was more rich and flavorful compared to previous visits, which is why I've increased my rating another star. It was so so yummy. Gaaahhh just writing about it makes me want to go back right now.

My friend ordered pork buns to share, and even though they took a little longer to make their way to the table (we were fair warned by the waiter), they were worth the wait. Holy moly they were delicious. I wasn't a huge fan of the mayo on them... or maybe the amount of mayo but they were still delicious!

All in all this place still has my vote. The ramen is fantastic. The service is quick and friendly. And and the prices are fair.

Tried this with a friend from SF and two children who "said" they loved Ramen.  What they meant was they loved cardboard noodles with salt packets in boiling water :)  I don't recommend this for picky eaters or first timers.  Someone should know what to order, and help a rookie out.  None of us had had real ramen, and we sat at the counter and tried to makes sense of the menu.  I wish someone had helped us just a bit because it would have saved us time and money. One of the children was very dissatisfied, because she didn't like what she ordered, and we had to request a side of another broth to water it down so she would eat it.  My bowl was extremely spicy and inedible, and had they cautioned it was very hot, I would have heeded it.  I'm leaving 3 stars because maybe we just aren't ramen people :)
    Ambiance - 3 stars
Location - 4 stars (parking can be problematic)
Quality & freshness of ingredients - 5 stars
Price - 3 stars - seems a bit expensive for soup some might say ;-)
I won't be back, because it's just not my thing.

What can I say, I'm a ramen fan and this place met my expectations. It's been really hard to find a good ramen in Reno after momiji closed but I think this is my new go to.

I had the miso hot and an order of veggie buns. I don't know what the whole process of making these buns is but they were cooked perfectly. If you don't particularly enjoy the taste of spinach/seaweed (not sure which was in these but it seemed like a mix) these might not be for you. If you're into it, definitely try em because they sell out.

The miso was perfect, just the right amount of spice, my favorite part is the crunch of scallions with the hot broth.

I've been once before to this spot, it seems to have had a name change but from what I can remember the menu has stayed the same.

My husband and I fell in love with Ramen after eating at a little hole in the wall ramen spot in NYC. When we moved out to Reno we were so happy to find this restaurant, service is friendly, you never have long to wait to get your steaming bowl & we're always reminded of that rainy day in the city when we tried our very first sip of this fantastic soup.

The ramen we've had had here has been delicious. This time we tried their steamed pork buns which were quite good although I would have preferred a tangy sauce drizzled on top as opposed to the Mayo based sauce.

If you're in Reno and craving some quick ramen, this spot is for you! They don't do takeout and parking is limited but there's always street parking in the area.

    Happy slurping!

Very hearty soup for a good ramen mixture that included soft boiled egg, sesame seeds, chili flakes, corn and cha siu! Happy with the spice- had a slightly spicy miso broth. The place probably gets crowded on cold evenings. There are some tables, but people tend to gather at the counter. Try the shio, shoyu or miso broths. I prefer miso with spice. One suggestion- we would love more broth, and please hand us the bill way after asking whether we want to order something else. It's like you're trying to get rid of us. Good service, but a little curt.
